Coach Mahlia Blair is a former collegiate athlete (Bowling Green State, 2015) and proven leader in player development and program building. Her coaching journey includes Perrysburg (7th grade, 2021), Gahanna (JV 2022, Varsity Assistant 2023), and Head Coach at New Albany (2024–2026).
She has spent six years as a club coach on the national level, most recently as the director at Pantheon Volleyball Club.

Carson Isaac is entering her fifth year of coaching and brings a strong background in both playing and developing athletes. She has coached at Ridgeview STEM Junior High and Pickerington Central High School, as well as at Rogue Volleyball Club from 2021 to 2024. A proud Pickerington Central alumna, Coach Carson began playing volleyball in the third grade and went on to earn four varsity letters with the Tigers. Her playing career continued at the collegiate level with The University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne and Shawnee State University.
She graduated from Shawnee State in 2021 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science and later earned her Master’s Degree in Public Health from Kent State University.
Coach Carson lives in Pickerington with her fiancé, Camerin, and their dog, Theo. When she’s not in the gym, she enjoys traveling, hiking, and playing plenty of tennis. She is passionate about mentoring young athletes and is excited to continue making a positive impact in this great program.
Coach Bethany has a background in both playing and coaching volleyball. She is a former Division III athlete at the University of Mount Union, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Education & Intervention while competing for the volleyball program.
Following college, she coached club volleyball at Rogue Volleyball Club for four years, including one season at the American level and three seasons at the National level. During that time, she also served as the freshmen volleyball coach at Gahanna Lincoln High School for two years.
For the past two years, Coach Bethany has been the varsity assistant coach at New Albany High School, following Coach Mahlia. She is passionate about building confident athletes and looks forward to helping players grow both on and off the court!
Coach Jesse is a native of Cleveland, Ohio where he attended Bedford High School. He then spent 3 years at BGSU, prior to COVID, where he played men's club volleyball for 2 years.
Jesse previously coached the JV level for 3 years at Otsego High School in Northwest Ohio. As well as 1 year of both girls and boys JV at New Albany High School. While at BGSU Jesse coached club volleyball at Toledo Volleyball Club; currently he coaches at Pantheon Volleyball Club (PVC) in Columbus.
"My favorite part about coaching is seeing the moment an athlete finally has their 'ahh' moment. This season I'm looking forward to working with a new group of student-athletes and helping them grow as players, students and people".
Coach Sarah has experience coaching and assistant coaching both school and club volleyball, including two school seasons at the 7th grade and freshman levels, and two club seasons with 13s and 15s teams. She focuses on developing strong fundamentals, teamwork, and confidence in her athletes.
Coach Sarah is committed to creating a positive, supportive environment where players can grow both on and off the court.

Coach Mason is a proud alumna of Pickerington High School Central, where her volleyball journey began. She has been playing volleyball since kindergarten and went on to compete at a high level throughout her career. During high school, she was a two-year Varsity athlete and competed in club volleyball for six years.
After graduating, Coach Mason continued her volleyball career at the collegiate level. She began at Heidelberg University (NCAA Division III) before transferring to Columbus State Community College, where she played a key role in her team’s impressive run to become National Runner-Up in Rochester, Minnesota in 2019.
Throughout her playing years, Coach Mason has experienced every position on the court, though her favorite has always been outside hitter/blocker. She brings a wealth of knowledge, versatility, and passion to her coaching style. A fun fact: she’s ambidextrous on the court and can hit effectively with both her left and right hands!
Coach Mason earned her Associate’s Degree in Sport Management from Columbus State in 2020 and her Bachelor’s Degree in Education and Human Ecology, focused on Sport Industry, from The Ohio State University in 2022.
Now entering her second season coaching at Pickerington Central, she’s thrilled to give back to the program that helped shape her as a player and person. She is passionate about making a positive impact on her athletes both on and off the court.
Outside of volleyball, Coach Mason is married to her high school sweetheart, Brody Egan. They live in Pataskala with their three dogs—Rocky, Bentley, and Odin. She recently became a licensed Realtor with Century 21 Excellence Realty and is a proud member of The Firm Foundation Co team based in Bexley.
